Historic Homes in Downtown Bozeman
Historic homes are not only beautiful but have rhyme and reason to their design. Bozeman was established in the early 1900’s, by John Bozeman. Back then, there wasn’t much infrastructure to the town. Like all cities, the town centralized at Main Street and began to grow and develop out from there. Therefore, the historic district is right in Downtown Bozeman. Historic homes tend to be smaller in square footage in comparison to newer built homes. Check out my favorite Historic Homes in Downtown Bozeman!
These homes are often built with wood
and brick. You'll notice driving down Wilson Street many of these homes are Craftsman style or have a Colonial look. Many of the homes have had some renovations for upkeep and functionality but have maintained their simple layout and materials.
Most commonly, homes were not built with garages, but rather carriage houses. A garage is most commonly a detached unit from the home, facing an alleyway, and would be considered an add-on build in recent years. It wouldn't be a huge shock to most people, but ask any local Bozeman resident, these homes come with a pricey tag. Few come on the market that are fully renovated. Some homes will have a partial to full basement, which is an added perk.
There's no doubt that these prestigious historic homes have a ton of character, charm, and have been built to last! Tour around town to check out these gorgeous homes.
