As summer gives way to fall, the Bozeman real estate market is entering September with an interesting combination of conditions: prices remain elevated, inventory is giving buyers meaningful choice, homes are taking longer to sell, and more sellers are adjusting their expectations.

The result is a market that cannot simply be labeled "good for buyers" or "good for sellers."

Bozeman's Market Action Index continues to technically favor sellers, but today's buyers have considerably more negotiating power than they did during the highly competitive markets of recent years.
