Music on Main is one of the defining experiences of summer in Bozeman.

For 2026, the Downtown Bozeman Association is bringing back the 26th annual series, and it’s shaping up to be another incredible season of live music, community, and downtown energy.

Music on Main 2026

Music on Main takes place every Thursday evening from July 2nd through August 6th, 2026.

  • Location: Main Street (Rouse Ave to Black Ave)
  • Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Live Music: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Cost: Free and open to the public

Main Street transforms into a full community gathering, locals, visitors, families, and friends all coming together in the heart of downtown.

2026 Music on Main Lineup

This year’s lineup brings a mix of local favorites and touring bands across multiple genres:

  • July 2: Float Like a Buffalo – Ska / Funk / Reggae / Jam Rock
  • July 9: Emo Kids – Pop Punk
  • July 16: Lost Canyons – Indie Rock
  • July 23: Kimberly Dunn – Country Rock
  • July 30: Tanner Laws Band – Country
  • August 6: The Galentines – Rock

Each week offers a different vibe, which is part of what keeps people coming back all summer long.

Open Container Rules (What You Need to Know)

During Music on Main, there is an Open Container Waiver in place, but there are important rules:

  • Alcohol must be purchased from a licensed business within the event zone
  • Allowed only between 6 PM – 9 PM
  • Restricted to the designated area (Main Street from Black to Rouse and nearby side streets)
  • No glass containers, no coolers, and no smoking or vaping

Outside of these guidelines, standard city regulations apply.
