Sweet Pea Festival 2025: Bozeman’s Beloved Summer Celebration of the Arts

Each August, Bozeman’s Lindley Park transforms into a vibrant hub of creativity, music, and community spirit, and this year will be no different! The 48th Annual Sweet Pea Festival is set to bring thousands together once again for three unforgettable days celebrating the arts in all forms.

What is the Sweet Pea Festival?

Since its founding in 1978, the Sweet Pea Festival has grown into one of the most cherished annual events in Bozeman, Montana. Entirely run by volunteers and supported by the community, this nonprofit festival highlights the importance of local arts, culture, and togetherness. The festival is named after the sweet pea flower, which has historical significance in the Gallatin Valley and symbolizes friendship, creativity, and remembrance—perfectly capturing the spirit of the event.

Live Music & Entertainment: From nationally recognized musicians to local bands, the Sweet Pea Main Stage delivers a dynamic music lineup across all genres. Past festivals have featured everything from bluegrass and rock to indie folk and jazz. Dance & Theatre Performances: Catch modern dance troupes, ballet, improv comedy, and theatrical productions from both local and touring talent. Run the Sweet Pea 5K! Kick off the weekend with the annual Sweet Pea Run, a 5K race that welcomes runners and walkers of all ages.
