Winter Art Walk Returns to Downtown Bozeman This Friday
As someone who loves sharing the best things happening around town, I’m excited to spread the word about one of my favorite community traditions. The Downtown Bozeman Art Walk Series is wrapping up the year with its special Winter Art Walk this Friday, December 12th, and it’s the perfect way to enjoy local creativity, holiday charm, and the energy of our vibrant downtown.
If you've never been to an Art Walk before, picture this: the crisp winter air, beautifully lit storefronts, dozens of local artists showcasing their work, and neighbors wandering in and out of shops with warm drinks and big smiles. It’s one of those events that reminds you why Bozeman feels like such a tight-knit place, even as we continue to grow.
What to Expect at the Winter Art Walk
This year, more than 40 downtown businesses are participating, each featuring a different local or regional artist. Many locations offer hors d’oeuvres and complimentary refreshments, so it’s easy to take your time, explore, and enjoy the evening.
A few highlights include the wildlife-inspired watercolor, ink, and acrylic work of Miranda Raposa at the Kimpton Armory Hotel, celebrating the landscapes and creatures of the Rocky Mountains. Stio Mountain Studio will showcase the adventurous and nature-focused work of Tara Radosevich. Two Trick Pony brings the compelling photography of Indigenous artist Makayla Camel, offering raw and powerful visual storytelling. Upstairs at The Light House, visitors can catch a live demonstration from Brett Ozment, whose artistic process is worth the stop on its own. Intrigue Ink will feature pieces by Shan Graff and Laurne Woods, with oil paintings and ceramics rounding out a diverse collection of mediums.
Community, Creativity, and Live Music in Bozeman, MT
One of the best parts of Bozeman’s Art Walks is how much the community comes together to support them. Thanks to local business sponsors, you can also expect live performances from Bozeman musicians throughout downtown and at the Emerson. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or just looking for a special night out, the Winter Art Walk always offers something memorable.
A Night Out in Downtown Bozeman
Friday’s Art Walk is open to everyone and will take place snow or shine—because if there’s one thing Bozeman knows how to do, it’s enjoy the season no matter the weather. With so many participating shops, restaurants, and galleries, it’s a great chance to pick up holiday gifts, meet local artists, support downtown businesses, and feel the heart of this community.
