BOZEMAN EATS
SHINE Beer Sanctuary
True and uninterrupted conversation has started to become a thing of the past. Pleasant and productive dialogue has been cut in by a constant barrage of bad and distressing news - that is where SHINE Beer Sanctuary is different.
Not only do you go in and have a great pint of constantly rotating beers, everyone can go in and start to talk and create relationships with all the patrons in the Beer Sanctuary. That was Julie and Travis Collins’ and long-time Bozeman restaurant owner Pete Strom’s (former owner of La Parrilla and The Garage and now SHINE Beer Sanctuary partner) goal when it came to SHINE. Deciding on the name SHINE Beer Sanctuary after listing to an Avett Brothers song, they felt like the name really encapsulated what they wanted to accomplish. The whole motto was built around creating vibrant relationships, playing on illuminating and enlightening conversations, and excellent hospitality.
Education for their employees is extremely important to Julie, Travis, and Pete, requiring that employees are Cicerone trained which would ensure that all their employees would be able to provide customers with the proper knowledge to find different beers that they would love. Cicerone training is defined as, “designated hospitality professionals with proven experience in selecting, acquiring, and serving today's wide range of beers. To claim the title of Cicerone, one must earn the trademarked title of Certified Cicerone® or hold a higher certification” (https://www.cicerone.org/us-en/what-is-a-cicerone-1). Because of this, there is no doubt that your craft beer experience at SHINE will be nothing short of special.
As one of only two bottle shops in Montana, visiting SHINE Beer Sanctuary is a wonderful, unique experience. Stop by and see the eccentric flashlight beer taps, try one of the delicious, scratch-made soups, and be a part of wonderful and fun conversations. We’ll see you there!
