Bozeman’s 45th Annual Christmas Stroll Gingerbread Contest

One of Bozeman’s sweetest holiday traditions is back. The Downtown Bozeman Association and Sweet Pea Festival are teaming up once again to host the 45th Annual Christmas Stroll Gingerbread Contest, with support from the American Legion Post #14. This festive community favorite invites locals of all ages to roll up their sleeves, get creative, and build their dream gingerbread houses.

If you’ve ever wandered through downtown during the Christmas Stroll and caught a whiff of cinnamon and sugar, this is where the magic happens. The contest is free to enter and open to everyone — from toddlers to seasoned pastry chefs. Whether you’re crafting a classic cottage, a winter wonderland mansion, or something totally imaginative, this is your chance to show off your holiday spirit.

Winners will receive ribbons, Downtown Dollars, Sweet Pea Festival Day Passes, and other fun prizes. Entries will be showcased at the American Legion’s Second Floor Event Space, where visitors can admire the incredible craftsmanship that goes into each sugary creation.

If you’re looking for a fun holiday activity for the family, or just love seeing Bozeman’s creativity shine, this event is a must. It’s one of those small-town traditions that makes our community so special this time of year.

To register and review contest rules, visit the Downtown Bozeman Association’s website and don’t wait too long, because spots fill up fast.

As a local Realtor who loves celebrating all things Bozeman, I’m always amazed at how our community comes together during the holidays. Whether you’re baking, strolling, or simply soaking up the festive cheer, this event is the perfect way to kick off the season.

See you at the Christmas Stroll, and may the best gingerbread architect win.
