Selling Your Home with a Realtor

Expect Excellence. Accept No Less.

8 Things Your Real Estate Agent Should Be.

  • Professional: A real estate agent should be a professional at all times. They should operate with courtesy and respect.
  • Honest: A real estate agent should be honest and forthright in all phases and dealings.
  • Helpful: A real estate agent should guide you in positioning your home for a quick sale.
  • Informative: Gives you feedback on showings regularly and suggests helpful changes if necessary.
  • Knowledgable: Your agent should know the ins and outs of real estate and how they affect your particular situation.
  • Patient: A realtor should be willing to explain details and be compassionate towards your needs no matter what your situation.
  • Available: Your real estate agent should be available to answer questions whether it’s in person, by phone, by email, etc.
  • Informed: Your agent should stay current on the market in general, their area, real estate law, etc., and how these variables affect you.

As an agent, I find myself always asking how I can improve.  I want my sellers to know that they are my number one priority.  I want to ensure that my sellers feel comfortable with my guidance and that I always have their best interests in mind.  Upon listing a home we regularly discuss any variances that may make it more attractive to buyers.  When I present offers I always bring comparables to help them gain a clearer understanding of where their home falls in the market, and where that market is headed.  When agents view my clients' homes I take that feedback back to my clients as soon as possible.  Feedback allows my clients to make necessary changes if needed, but it also keeps an open line of communication.  I take my profession seriously. I strive for excellence in what I do. When you choose a real estate agent you deserve nothing less.
