Summer is approaching, and kids are getting restless as the days get longer. So, what is there to do around Bozeman?
Although it might seem like there isn't as much to do this year, we have compiled a list of fun, spring/summer activities your kids can take part in.
1. Montana Science Center
Whether it's PIR days, summer camps, day camps, events or birthdays, Montana Science Center has you covered! Make sure you get your kiddo signed up for hands on learning in science and technology that inspires creativity and innovation.
2. Gallatin Valley YMCA
Offering camps for ages K-7th grade you won't want to miss out on getting your kids involved in great active learning classes. They have a camp for any of your kids interest levels; art, technology, outdoors and even nerf safety! Check them out today!
3. Spire Climbing and Fitness
Great for kids age 5-16, Spire is offering summer camps teaching them the love of climbing in a structured environment!
4. Head to the local library
Every week Bozeman Public Library has an event going on. Whether it's storytime, kids book club, or select classes you are sure to find something to participate in. Due to Covid-19 they are having a lot of events online as well as limited hours, so make sure you check them out online.
5. Visit the Museum of the Rockies
With various events listed on their website, MOR tries to cater to all ages! Go check out their recent exhibit "Savage Ancient Seas".
6. Check out the parks and playgrounds
Bozeman has an abundance of fun parks with playgrounds and streams to cool off in. Below we have listed a few of our favorites.
Dinosaur Park - Located off of Davis lane, this park features various equipment to climb on, around or through. Great for any age!
100 Acre Park - Probably one of the most popular parks in Bozeman, 100 Acre Park is located on the Northwest side of town. The park's cross streets are W Oak & Ferguson and Davis & E Baxter. It features 2 ponds, trail system, dog park, climbing rocks and bike park.
Lindley Park - Located off of Main and Buttonwood, this park offers a playground, picnic tables, and restrooms.
Story Mill Community Park - At 698 Bridger Drive, Bozeman, this park offers 60 acres of interactive equipment for every age, along with a stream.
Bozeman Pond - At 700 S Fowler Ave, Bozeman, this park provides a fishing pond, playground, sports facility, and restrooms.
7. Bozeman Sports Camp
Bozeman Sports Camp is a summer sports camp for students entering grades K-6. They have many fun and instructional activities covering sports and games of all kind! Click the link to see what is available.
8. Ridge Athletic Club
Let your child visit their play tunnels, ball pit, and age appropriate toys while you take a much needed moment to yourself! Click the link to learn more!
9. Volunteer
Summer is the perfect opportunity to get your kids involved in giving back! Places like Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter and Gallatin Valley Food Bank are great places to start!
