5. Time off from work - Buyers have more time to look for a house during the holidays because of time off from work. We realize COVID has put a whole new meaning for time off.
6. Tax bonuses - Many people want to buy before the end of the year for financial and tax reasons.
7. Job relocation - January is traditionally the month for transfers. Those relocating for a job can’t wait until the spring season to buy. These buyers need a home now and so it is advantageous to put your home on the market to capture these hot, motivated buyers.
8. Settlement dates - Sellers can put their home under contract now but specify a delayed closing or extended occupancy until early next year if it is agreeable within the negotiations of the contract.
