This has many potential sellers asking themselves if listing their home with a real estate agent is necessary or not, especially when homes are selling so quickly. After all, the home inventory crisis continues to be a relevant theme, especially with buyer demand up by 60%.

While “For Sale By Owner” (FSBO) is still an option for any seller in 2021, it comes with its own set of risks.

Larger Networks Mean More Exposure

However, if you are looking to sell your home on your own (for sale by owner), pay careful attention to this blog. It could prevent your house from sitting cold on the market.

This is a common mistake - Using the wrong neighborhood sales statistics. You want to analyze other homes, do so within a very close proximity to where your home is located. Unless you are planning to live in your home for the rest of your life, beware of the below improvements that offer little to no return on the value of your home.

As a new homeowner, you are eager to get in and make your space your own; as you should! You might start with something simple, like painting walls or replacing light fixtures. Are you looking to sell your home this Spring, but not sure where to start?

Below we have compiled a short checklist of items to review before listing your home.

2. Clean, Declutter and Depersonalize

- Sweep and mop floors (even in the corners). Remove cobwebs in the corners or your ceilings.
- Consider replacing carpet if stains are very prominent or if carpet cleaner does not remove large stains.
